Come spend the day at our Natural Dye Studio/Atelier where we hand craft each piece of our clothing/goods from start to finish.
Beginner friendly* + Intimate group setting. Ages 16+
Make your own scrunchie with our Naturally Dyed Silk, all materials included (lots of color/print options) and instructional handout will be emailed to you afterwards.
Comfortable closed toed shoes are recommended
We have multiple sewing machines, in case you do not have your own. You may bring yours if you prefer.
*Basic sewing skills helpful but not required*
About the Host:
Carol is the co-owner and lead dye artist of Soul Studio. She has 40 years of experience working with textiles and a lifelong love of the natural world. Natural dyeing has a become a livelihood for her, as she's explored and shared the amazing world of natural dyes since 2016. Before Soul Studio she had her own custom drapery business and Interior Decor business. She is a 4th generation seamstress and Texan!
About the Venue:
Our Atelier is located just 30-40 min outside of Austin. Taylor is a charming town with deep rooted history in the textile industry-it was the inland cotton capital of the world at one point in time. Our studio is centered in the historic Taylor downtown district with plenty of free parking and walkable to many cute shops and restaurants.
