The 2nd color release of our 2020 Chrysalis Collection: Amethyst honors and celebrates the intuitive process of creation through natural dyes. 

Purple has been regarded since the beginning of 'dye history' as the most revered color. In ancient times purple was first extracted from a snail, an extremely rare and sought after color. To this day purple represents high vibration, creativity and class. 

Our tone-on-tone take on purple: Amethyst, embodies the beauty of transformation, embracing change as a catalyst for creation (honoring a life, death and rebirth cycle). The process that our natural materials go through to create the one of a kind colors and patterns inspired a story bigger than ourselves; we call it Magic. 

The Chrysalis Collection color stories are rooted in the fact that we each experience colors individually, and how silk absorbs and reflects light differently– depending on its density (weight), weave, and structure– creating a variety of responses from the viewer. After all, color wouldn't exist without the presence of light and we think there's nothing quite as special as celebrating our unique experiences.
